I guess sometimes living so far away keeps you out of the loop. I am truly sorry for your lose. I was a friend of Kane's since I was a young boy. His mom and dad both were my teachers. I miss you my friend and always looked forward to seeing you when ever I made it back to town. Rest easy. Prayers to his daughter and family.

I hope I'm not too late to send my sympathies with Kane's loss. I'm Jennifer Coffman, we used to go up to Mike's Landing in Michigan at the same time as your family. I had to admit I smiled when reading Kane's obituary where it says he enjoyed mowing lawns, as that's what he and I did together a couple of times for Mike Zwolinski. Fond memories of Kane. Would love to hear an update on Karen and the rest of your family. God bless.

What a shock to hear of Kane's passing. We will miss having him sit on the deck telling stories and seeing him by the fire.  He was a true friend. We know how much he loved the lake.

I am very sorry to hear about Kane's passing. I loved talking with him wherever I saw him around town or at a spring event. He always had a smile on his face and was friendly even though I played for Yorktown. I have and will pray for all of you! With heartfelt sympathy, Brian

I remember watching many softball games when I was young when Kane played. I don't think anyone hit the ball as hard as Kane Smith. Great memories of a great man. God bless the family.

I was so, so sorry to hear about Kane. Kane was a wonderful, friendly person, that never knew a stranger. He would always ask about my family when I would see him, somewhere around Albany. He will be missed by all.

So sorry to hear of Kane's passing.  I played softball with him many years ago in Dunkirk.  I didn't see him often after giving up the game, but when I would run into him, it was always, "Hey!  There's Billy Vinson.  How you doing?"  He was truly a good soul.  bv
