Mike Cross

Mike Cross, age 56, Albany, died Thursday night at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital following an illness.  Born in Muncie on July 8, 1960, he graduated from Wes-Del High School in 1978 and was a longtime resident of Albany.  Mike worked for thirty years at Borg-Warner in Muncie as a machine operator and enjoyed fishing, camping, and playing guitar.

Survivors include his mother, Margie Cross, Albany; a brother, Doug Cross, Albany; four nieces: Jenny Arnett (husband: Ryan), Tipton, Ashley Stevenson, Hartford City, Kelli Cross, Albany, and Tiffany Colucci (husband: Terry), Columbus, OH; four great-nephews: Ethan Arnett, Chase Arnett, Garrett Colucci, and Kellan Colucci; three great-nieces: Brooklin Kiser, Ariel Gaines, and Layla Stevenson.  Also surviving is Mike’s wife: Kris Cross, Dunkirk.

He is preceded in death by his father, Wilbur W. “Bud” Cross, and a brother: Kelly Ray Cross.

Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Meacham Funeral Service.

Visiting hours will be held on Monday from 4 until 8 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
