Esther (Keeley) Drown Andrews, age 86, Muncie, died Wednesday afternoon at home following an illness. Born in Muncie on April 20, 1930, she attended Ball State University and graduated from Muncie Central High School. A good student, she was double promoted twice in elementary school and active in various HS clubs & athletics. Esther was the office manager at Parson Mortuary in Muncie for twenty-one years. She previously worked for Townsend Tree Service and Drown Accounting. She was a founding member of A.B.W.A. Silhouette Chapter (Woman of The Year in 1994), Ball Memorial Hospital Auxiliary (life member), Women of The Moose, Elks Lodge, Murpah Fez Mates, Hoosier Heartland Area Council, Reticule Circle, and 20th Century Club. Serving as an officer with many of these clubs. Esther was a member of First Baptist Church, Muncie.
Survivors include two sons: Ronald Jay Drown (wife: Teresa), their children: Brian C. & Sarah J. Drown; and Donald Joe Drown (wife: Kristi, deceased), their children: Joseph Scott (wife: Krystalyn) & Travis K. Drown; a daughter: Brenda Joyce Drown, her son: Jason A. Drown; a step-daughter: Jackie Sue Gillette McQuade (husband: Michael), and her two sons: Robert & Thomas Edmonds; two great-grandchildren: Logan Duane Drown & Jack Austin Drown; a brother: Charles W. Keeley (wife: Dian), and many special nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by husbands Jack R. Drown and James A. Andrews; her parents, two brothers, two sisters, and a grandson.
Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, November 22, 2016, at Meacham Funeral Service, Albany, with burial following at Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday from 11a.m. until 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
