Zachary Ryan Streit, age 28, Albany, died unexpectedly Monday June 14, 2021, at home. Born in Oxford, OH, he grew up in Indiana and lived in Eaton, OH before moving to Albany in 2013. Zach was a quiet, kind-hearted man that enjoyed animals, anime, making jewelry, and gemology. In earlier years he was a cub scout and played baseball.
Survivors include his father: Joseph Streit III (wife: Sara), Sevierville, TN; mother: Jan Streit-Chambers (husband: Gregg), Albany; brothers: Dennis Streit (wife: Christina), Clyde, KS, and Jason Streit (wife: Katrina), Great Bend, KS; sisters: Julia Collins (husband: John), Brookville, and Autumn Troxell, Albany; grandmother: Shirley Troxell, Muncie, and several aunts and uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, and three great-nieces.
He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents: Joseph F. (Jr.) & Bethuma (Jolley) Streit and maternal grandparents: Edward & Jewell (Judy) Wood.
A celebration of Zach's life will be held from 1 until 5 p.m. on Sunday June 20, 2021 at Albany Lions Club (215 S. Water St., Albany, IN 47320).
