Wanda Oakley Obituary

Wanda Oakley, age 89, Albany, died Monday December 7, 2020 at Albany Health Care & Rehabilitation Center following an illness. She was born May 16, 1931 in Cannon County, Tennessee. In earlier years she worked at Ball Bros. in Muncie and later became a beautician. Wanda was co-owner and operator of JuWan’s Hair Fashions in Muncie for several years before retiring.

Survivors include her son: James C. Oakley, Jr. (wife: Brenda), South Jacksonville, IL, two brothers: Kenneth & J.C. Paschall, both of the Muncie area; daughter-in-law: Susie Oakley, Albany; 4 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband: James C. Oakley, Sr.; son: Wayne Oakley; father: Homer Paschall; mother: Clyda (Stacey) Neal; brother: Don Paschall, and two sisters: Peggy and Mary.

Cremation was chosen. There will be no public services.
