Virgil Steven Henry, age 69, Albany, died Monday April 12, 2021 at home following a brief illness. Born in Jay County on April 16, 1951, he attended Albany High School and lived in Florida for several years before returning to the Albany area. Virgil was a mechanic and truck driver for Kennedy Concrete in Orlando, Florida and had worked as a mechanic for several auto dealerships while living there. In earlier years he was a well-known mechanic at the Standard Station in Dunkirk. Virgil was an avid race fan who enjoyed racing of all kinds.
Survivors include his mother: Sue Henry, Albany; wife: Sylvia Henry, Orlando, FL; two sons: James Henry (fiancé: Pearl Johnson), Orlando, FL, and Lance Henry (wife: Allison), Dunkirk; two brothers: Scott Henry, Albany, and Shannon Henry (wife: Beth), Albany; sister: Sandra Nahrwold (husband: Charlie), Albany; three grandchildren: Colton, Kylie, and Khloe; several nieces & nephews, and his beloved dog, Missy.
His father, Virgil J. Henry, died in 2012.
