Uarda M. Hines

Uarda M. Hines, age 93, Albany, died Wednesday April 27, 2022 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital following a brief illness.  Born in Green Township February 10, 1929, she was a lifelong resident of the Albany area graduated from Albany High School with the class of 1947.  She was a homemaker, member of Albany United Methodist Church, and former member of Order of The Eastern Star.  She enjoyed planting flowers, cooking, and shopping.

Survivors include a son: Robert Hines (wife: Karen), Farmland; daughter: Jody (Hines) Tweedy (husband: Sam), Albany; sister: Martha Voigt (husband: Carroll), Carmel; grandchildren: April Hines, Nashville, TN, Ashley Keller (husband: Mark), Crawfordsville, Rachael Pitman, Muncie, Brittany Abrell (husband: Michael), New Castle, and Zach Pitman (wife: Courtney), Dunkirk; great-grandchildren: Brayden, Hunter, Lauren, Ryan, and Eli; nephews & nieces including Sue Sheller, Albany.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Lewis E. Hines, who died in 2007; son: Mark E. Hines; parents: Robert N. & Alma (Shatto) Sheller; brothers: Robert A. Sheller, Richard L. “Dick” Sheller, Ervin Sheller, and Harold “Mus” Sheller.

Services will be 12 p.m. Tuesday, May 3, 2022 at Meacham Funeral Service.  Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery. 

Visiting hours are Tuesday from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. at the funeral home.
