Robert David “Bobby” Mizner, age 52, Hartford City, died Sunday April 24, 2022 at St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis, following a motorcycle accident in Blackford County. Born in Bluffton July 4, 1969, he grew up in Dunkirk and was a 1987 graduate of Jay County High School. He worked at Red Gold for 15 years and was a heat plant operator at Ball State University since last year. Bobby was a U.S. Army veteran, former Judo student, and longtime drummer – playing in bands that included Blackwood. He attended Hartford City Wesleyan Church where he participated on the worship team and also enjoyed metal music, riding his Harley Davidson, being outdoors, and spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife, Julie K. Mizner; daughters: Mackenzie Mizner, Hartford City, and Lilly Marie Mizner, Hartford City; granddaughters: Malauni Mizner and Ava Henry, Hartford City; his father: John R. “Bob” Mizner (Kathleen Branham), Albany; step-son: Oliver Baronick, North Webster; step-daughters: Melissa Stanton, Muncie and Megan Stanton, Hartford City; step-father: Lynn Duffy, Dunkirk; in-laws: Max & Janette Stackhouse, North Webster; uncle: Bill Mizner (wife: Janet), Richmond; aunt: Jocelyn McDonald, Albany; several cousins, and a host of friends.
He is preceded in death by his mother: Linda Duffy, mother-in-law: Sara Taylor, and paternal grandmother: Carol Mizner.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, April 30, 2022 at Hartford City Wesleyan Church, 1301 S. Walnut St., Hartford City, IN 47348. Burial will follow at Dunkirk I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
Visitation will be Friday from 3 until 7 p.m. at the Wesleyan Church in Hartford City.
