Louise (Fox) Whitehair

Louise (Fox) Whitehair passed away on Dec. 24, 2020, at her home in Oro Valley, AZ. She was born in Redkey, IN, a daughter of the late Cecil and Cynthia Fox. A graduate of Redkey High School, she received her Bachelor of Science Degree from Manchester College (Indiana) and Masters Degree from Ball State University. She taught at several area schools and retired from Westlawn Elementary in Dunkirk after 35 years.  She and her late husband, Joe, were former season ticket holders of Purdue University Basketball for many years and she continued to be an avid Purdue fan. She enjoyed traveling and spending winters in Grand Cayman.  She was a 60 Year member of Albany Methodist Church and was a founder of the Albany Resale Shop, helping the community with those in need. She retired from the Resale Shop after serving on the board for 30 years in 2019.

Louise is survived by her children Nancy (Doug) Boklund and Paul (Cynthia) Whitehair,  daughter-in-law, Susan Whitehair and son-in-law Jerry Jones. She is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and her husband, Joe, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Laura Jones, a son, Chuck, granddaughter, Skylar, sisters, Margaret Dise, Ruby Guill and brother Cecil Fox, Jr.

Private services will be conducted by Meacham Funeral Service, Albany, IN.
