Larry Sizemore Obituary

Larry Sizemore, 77, Redkey, died Sunday March 21, 2021 at his daughter’s home following an extended illness.  Born in Logan, West Virginia on May 5, 1943, he was a longtime resident of Redkey.  He was a receiving department forklift operator at Indiana Glass Co., Dunkirk, for over 40 years until retiring when the plant closed.  In earlier years he worked for the National Forestry Service and was a taxi cab driver.

Larry was a true patriot and hard worker who taught his family the importance of character and doing the job right.  He cherished his family and enjoyed nature and exploring the outdoors.

Survivors include 2 daughters: Shawnee Morton (husband: David), Redkey, and Sandi Kay Fravel (husband: Lonnie), Berne; 2 sisters: Mary Farris and Sarah Legg, both of Logan, WV; 7 grandchildren: Alex Morton (wife: Stormi), Franklin, Jamie Morton (wife: Ryane), Muncie, Tiffany Lowe (husband: Chase), Honolulu, HI, Makayla Moore, Albany, Kacy Meyer, Ft. Wayne, Jared Sizemore, Winchester, and Jake Moore, Lafayette; 9 great-grandchildren, and several nieces & nephews.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 30 years, Sondra Sue (Kelly) Sizemore, and his parents: Wanna Ray “Beecheye” Sizemore and Edna Mae (Riffe) Browning.

Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at Hill Crest Cemetery, Redkey.  Burial will follow.
