Kelly Kirby, age 61, Winchester, died Tuesday December 15, 2020 at St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis, following a brief illness. Born in Muncie to Robert & Clara Persinger on Nov. 27, 1959, she grew up in Delaware County and was a 1978 graduate of Muncie Southside High School and attended Indiana Business College. Kelly worked for the Bureau of Motor Vehicles processing center in Winchester for 13 years. She attended Albany Christian Church and enjoyed sewing, crafts, boating, camping, being outdoors, and traveling to visit her kids and grandkids. In addition to spending time with grandkids, Kelly enjoyed annual trips to Shipshewana and Gatlinburg, TN. She loved her Jeep and had a love of shoes.
Survivors include her mother: Clara Persinger, Muncie; her husband of 36 years: Brad Kirby; 2 sons: Andy Kirby (wife: Pam), Remington, and Michael Kirby (partner: Rafael Marquez), Portland, OR; 4 daughters: Beth Taylor (husband: Troy), Muncie, Kendall Stewart (husband: Kyle), Ft. Benning, GA, McKenzie Jones (husband: Jordan), Winchester, and Taylor Smith (husband: Stephen), Brimley, MI; 4 brothers: Kent Persinger (wife: Garnett), Conneautville, PA, Kevin Persinger (wife: Karen), Yorktown, Jeff Persinger (wife: Kandy), Albany, and John Persinger (wife: Lori), DeSoto; her sister: Julie Underwood (husband: Dave), Gaston; 10 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild on the way, and several nieces & nephews.
She is preceded in death by her father, Robert L. Persinger.
Services will be held for family and close friends at the Albany Christian Church. Others may view the service at 12 p.m. Friday via the Albany Christian Church Facebook page. Burial will follow at Strong Cemetery.
