Jackie “Fletch” Goodman, age 52, Parker City, died unexpectedly Tuesday February 16, 2021 in Randolph County from natural causes. Born in Muncie November 24, 1968, he grew up in Selma and was a 1987 graduate of Wapahani High School. Fletch was a general foreman for Edko and had also worked for Asplundh Tree Expert Co. and Townsend Tree Service. He was a member of American Legion Post 437, Selma, and enjoyed bowling, fishing, canoeing, playing cornhole, family gatherings, attending his sons’ sporting events, and spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Karla Goodman, and their sons: Fletcher Goodman (fiancé: Jennifer), Indianapolis, and Derek Goodman (Margaret Ridge), Farmland; his mother: Betty “Lou” Goodman, Selma; 2 brothers: Mark “Tweety” Goodman (wife: Stephanie), Selma, and John Goodman (partner: Brian Hamby), Carlyle, IL; 2 grandchildren: Lucy Lou Ridge Goodman and Dexter William Ridge Goodman; mother-in-law: Laraine Anderson (husband: Steven), Muncie; father-in-law: Harry Lawrence (wife: Penny), Parker City; brothers-in-law: Bryan Hughes (Beth), Yorktown, Jeffrey Anderson (wife: Theresa), Muncie, and John Anderson (wife: Michelle), Hartford City; sisters-in-law: Rayna Wright (husband: Mike), Yelm, WA, Carol Nieves (husband: Jose), Jacksonville, FL, Carmen King, Shepherdsville, KY, Tammy Craig (husband: Dean), Losantville, and Tracy “Gabby” West, Selma; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and his beloved dogs: Dora and Latifa.
In 2018 he was preceded in death by his father, Jack “Boots” Goodman, and brother: Michael “Jive” Goodman.
A memorial service will be held 6 p.m. Monday, February 22, 2021 at Meacham Funeral Service with dinner at the Selma American Legion to follow at 7:30 p.m.
Visiting hours are Monday from 4 until 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
