Eloise (Brightwell) Kelley Obituary

Eloise (Brightwell) Kelley, age 96, formerly of Albany, died Wednesday February 2, 2022 at Parker Health & Rehabilitation Center.  Born in Lake Wales, Florida, she attended schools in Florida & Georgia and lived in Georgia for most of her life until moving to Delaware County in 1990.  She was a homemaker and belonged to The Sanctuary Church in Evans, Georgia. 

Survivors include a son: Michael F. Smith, Augusta, GA, and daughter: Linda Charlene Marlow (husband: Harold William, Jr.), Albany; ten grandchildren, twenty-five great-grandchildren, 10 great-great-grandchildren with one on the way, and several nieces & nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband of thirty years: Charles G. Kelley, Sr.; two sons: Patrick Lee Kelley and William Arthur Smith, Jr.; grandson: Brian Nicholas Brown; parents: George C. & Mary L. (Layton) Brightwell, and beloved sister: Catherine Irene Matejka.

Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, February 5, 2022 at Meacham Funeral Service.  Burial will take place at Strong Cemetery.

Visiting hours are Saturday from 12 until 1p.m. at the funeral home.
