Dale Brunsman, age 73, Albany, died Wednesday May 18, 2022 at home following an extended illness. Born in Cincinnati, Ohio September 10, 1948, he grew up there and graduated from Princeton High School in 1967. He was a security officer at Jewish Hospital in Cincinnati for 25 years then worked as a custodian at Pensacola High School in Florida before retiring. Dale was a fireman with the Northern Hills Volunteer Fire Department in Cincinnati from 1976-1986 and he enjoyed collecting model trains.
Survivors include his daughter: Robin Smith (husband: Brad), Albany; son: Timothy Decker (partner: Michael Young), Kettering, OH; sisters: Donna Dugan, Milford, OH, and Diane Bradley, Punta Gorda, FL; grandchildren: Tyler Ring (Amber Conatser), Muncie, Peggy Murtha (Cory), Muncie, Nathan Smith (Kelsey), Eaton, and Nathalie Linn (Andrew), Portland; great-grandchildren: Mia, Brenden, Ava, Hunter, Xavier, Oakley, Noah, and Ryley.
He is preceded in death by his wife: Brinda (Sheppard) Brunsman, parents: Francis & Lois (Quinn) Brunsman, and brother: Gerald Brunsman.
Services will be 4 p.m. Saturday, May 21, 2022 at Meacham Funeral Service. Private interment will take place at Elm Ridge Cemetery.
Visiting hours are Saturday from 2 until 4 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorials may be sent to National Kidney Foundation of Indiana or a charity for premature birth research.
