Chuck Bergdoll, age 68, Albany, went home to be with the Lord Thursday March 3, 2022 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital following a brief illness. Born in Muncie January 6, 1954, he was a lifelong resident of Albany and a 1972 graduate of Albany High School. Chuck worked for Warner Supply, Muncie, since 1978, and was a 38-year retired veteran of the Albany Police Reserves. He belonged to area bass clubs and Sons of American Legion Post 167, Albany. Helpful and hard-working, he loved spending time with his grandchildren, enjoyed fishing and golfing, and was an avid cigar connoisseur.
Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Jane Bergdoll; son: Aaron Bergdoll (wife: Kellie), Albany; daughter: Amanda Bergdoll, Albany; sister: Sharon Fullenkamp (husband: Chuck), Redkey; grandchildren: Gage Bergdoll, Chase Bergdoll, Cory Kissick (Macy), and Connor Skinner (husband: Justin); great-grandchildren: Lincoln and Harrison; nephews: Ty and Trent Fullenkamp.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Robert Aaron & Patricia A. (Barlow) Bergdoll.
Services are 11 a.m. Monday, March 7, 2022 at Meacham Funeral Service. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
Visiting hours will be Sunday from 4 until 8 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Monday at the funeral home.
