Obituary

Charley Daniel, age 71, Farmland, died Monday February 13, 2023 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital following an illness.  Born in Muncie on March 24, 1951, he grew up in DeSoto and attended DeSoto High School.  Charley was a truck driver for Rosema Corp., Muncie, for over 30 years before retiring.  He also worked at Kerr Glass (now Ardagh), Dunkirk, for several years.  He belonged to Carpenters Local 1016, attended True Light Baptist Church, and enjoyed playing sports over the years including softball, racquetball, and basketball.

Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Judy Daniel, and their son: Chuck Daniel (wife: Susan), Farmland; sister: Mary Swartz (husband: Danny), Yorktown; grandchildren: Jessica Escamilla (husband: Roberto), Muncie, and C.J. Daniel, Farmland; great-grandchildren: Grayson Escamilla, Max Escamilla, and Stella Escamilla; several nieces & nephews including Kendall Higginbotham, Greg Johnson, Johnny Johnson, Jimmy Johnson, Anthony Batio, Tim Shivley, Kim Conkright, and Donata Boyle; special sister-in-law: Peggy Batio, Albany.

He is preceded in death by his parents, M.B. & Betty L. (Reason) Daniel.

There will be no public services; cremation was chosen.
