Candace D. Gibson

Candace D. Gibson, age 50, Albany, died Wednesday May 4, 2022 at Albany Health Care & Rehabilitation Center following an extended illness.  Born in Muncie April 7, 1972, she grew up in Muncie and was a 1990 graduate of Southside High School.  Although he went to the rival school, Central High School, Shane met the love of his life in 1991.  She was a homemaker and dog mom to Bear, Shadow, and Snoopy.  She worked several years at Werts Novelty in Muncie and always generous and polite.  Candace loved animals and enjoyed music, drawing, social media, and watching TV - especially The Andy Griffith Show.

Survivors include her husband of 30 years, Shane E. Gibson; her mother: Beverly Hamilton, Muncie; brothers: Jack Hamilton, Jr. (wife: Linda), FL, Steve Hamilton (fiancé: Beth), Parker City, and Tim Hamilton, Muncie; sister: Cindy Fisher, Muncie, and close friend: Vickie Taylor-Brown (husband: Jeff), IA.

She is preceded in death by her father: Jack Hamilton, Sr., grandparents, and fur babies.

Services will be private.  Burial will occur at Beech Grove Cemetery.
