Alice June Bible

Alice June Bible, age 90, Muncie, passed away peacefully Saturday, May 14, 2022 at Morrison Woods Health Campus.  June was born on October 23, 1931 in Battle Creek, MI.  She was a graduate of McDonald High School (TN) and Indiana Business College.  She worked in accounting at Sears, Muncie, for 18 years.  At age 50, June fulfilled her lifelong dream of becoming a nurse, proving as her mother often said, “You can do anything you want to do, and age is not a factor.”  She became a Licensed Practical Nurse and worked at Ball Memorial Hospital for 15 years before retiring.  Over the years she attended DeSoto United Methodist Church and belonged to D.M.A., Herb and Home Ec. Clubs.  She was an avid reader and enjoyed painting, crafting, and sewing.  She was featured in the December 2002 Prime Years magazine as an accomplished artist, highlighting her many creative talents.  She often used recycled materials, saying, “That’s what I like to do best, make something out of nothing.”

She will be greatly missed by her children: Jennifer (Gehrig) Paschall, Doug (Jackie) Bible, and Judi Williams; her sister: Joan Jordan; 7 grandchildren: Nichole (Kelly) Harner, Natalie (Bill) Kreider, Ben Paschall, Matt (Erin) Huffman, Julia (Justin) Lain, Braden (Hayley) Paschall, and Sam Williams; 12 great-grandchildren: Blake, Grayson, Sophia, Andrew, Alice, Alexa, Nolan, Brooks, Jackson, Joey, Harrison, and Elowen. 

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 70 years, Robert Bible, in 2020; her father: Stanley K. Wilson, and mother: Allie (McGoldrick) Haun.

Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 17, 2022 at Meacham Funeral Service.  Burial will follow at Union Cemetery, DeSoto.

Visiting hours are Tuesday from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
