ALBANY – Zachary Lake, having lived near Albany for several years, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday April 18, 2010 at the age of 23. Zachary was born in Muncie on May 19, 1986. He attended McCutcheon High School in Lafayette, IN, and graduated from Delta High School with the class of 2005. He was currently attending Ivy Tech to study counseling. Zachary touched many lives through a group he created for those under 21 struggling with addiction. As an outdoorsman he enjoyed hunting & fishing; he was jovial and loved life to the fullest.

He will greatly missed by all that knew him, especially by his mother: Milissa Lake Spencer (husband: Kirk), Dayton, IN; a sister: Katherine Spencer, Dayton, IN; maternal grandparents: Shirley & David Lake, Albany; an aunt and uncle: LeAnne & Todd Heiniger, Summerset, KY; and 2 nieces: Allie & Madison Heiniger.

A gathering of family & friends will take place on Thursday from 1-5 p.m. at Meacham Funeral Service, Albany. A memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. on Thursday evening at the funeral home.
