Obituary

William "Bill" Ketron, age 75, Albany, died Monday June 30, 2025 at IU Health Methodist Hospital following an extended illness.  Born in Richmond on December 15, 1949, he grew up in New Paris, Ohio and attended schools there.  Bill served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and lived near Albany for the past several years.

Bill worked on a dairy farm for 20 years, retiring in 1993.  He also worked at York Casket Co. and with his son-in-law for Damage Doctors.  He enjoyed woodworking, bowling, playing cards and Aggravation with Diane & Larry, watching The History Channel, and always being on the lookout for Bigfoot.  Most especially, Bill loved being a part of anything his grandkids were a part of.  He believed in the Lord, his Savior, and will be missed deeply by his family.

Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Kathy Ketron, and their daughters: Susan Shreve (husband: Brad), Muncie, and Karen Ashcraft (husband: Paul), Muncie; sisters: Belinda Baumer (husband: Larry), Fountain City, and Patty Springer, El Dorado, OH; grandchildren: Ethan, Emma, Zoe, Chloe, and Roman.

He is preceded in death by an infant daughter: Brenda Ketron; his parents: Robert & Betty (Howard) Ketron; brother: Charles Ketron, Sr., and a sister: Barbara Ketron.

Graveside services will be 3:30 p.m. Thursday, July 3, 2025 at Union Cemetery, DeSoto, with burial to follow.  Military rites will be provided by Veterans of Delaware County Honor Guard and the U.S. Army.
