ALBANY – Tommy D. Clark, age 75, Albany, died Sunday night at Albany Health Care & Rehabilitation Center following an extended illness. Born in Byrdstown, TN, on Jan. 15, 1939, he grew up in Tennessee and moved to Delaware County in the late 1950's. He drove a truck for most of his life, retiring from Snider Trucking several years ago. Tommy was a U.S. Navy veteran and attended Sound The Alarm church in Muncie.
Survivors include a son: Tommy Clark (girlfriend: Rhonda), Dunkirk; 5 daughters: Patricia E. Addington (husband: Brian), Dunkirk, Vickie Clark, IL, Teresa Stillman (husband: Monty), Terre Haute, Amber Gentile (husband: Patrick), NC, and Maria Clark, Muncie; 2 brothers: Robert Craig, Jonesboro, and Joe Clark (wife: Meriam), Muncie; 5 sisters: Ruby Cordle (husband: Bill), FL, Betty Yates, Flatwoods, KY, Janell Cremeans, Selma, Judy Poore, Byrdstown, TN, and Janice Cremeans (husband: Bill), Russell, KY; 11 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and several nieces & nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Estill & Della Mae Clark; 3 brothers: Delbert, Jack, and Billy Clark; a sister: Janet Clark, and a half-brother: Harold Clark.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, January 8, 2015, at Meacham Funeral Service, Albany, with burial following at Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Military rites will be provided by Veterans of Delaware County Honor Guard.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday from 11 until 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
