DALLAS, TX – Steven R. Bridges, age 53, formerly of Muncie, died unexpectedly on Thursday, May 3, 2012 at Presbyterian Hospital of Plano, TX.  Born in Muncie on April 6, 1959, he graduated from Delta High School in 1977 and lived in Muncie for several years before recently moving to Dallas, TX.  Steve worked at Littler Diecast in Albany for 23 years and last at Tomken Tool & Engineering, Muncie, for 13 years.  He was affiliated with The Bridge Community Church in Anderson and was a member of the National Rifle Association.

Survivors include his fiancé: Jayne Gammon, Dallas, TX, and his brother: Michael R. Bridges (wife: Carolyn), Anderson; 2 nephews: Chris and Jess Bridges, 2 step-nephews: Jon and Jim Pittenger, and an uncle & aunt: Charles "Mugs" & Goldie Murphy, Albany.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Donald L. and Chivilla R. (Murphy) Bridges and a sister: Donnetta Bridges.

Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Thursday, May 10, 2012 at Meacham Funeral Service, Albany, with burial following at Gardens of Memory Cemetery.

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
