Obituary

Stan Mock, age 64, Noblesville, passed away at home on Saturday July 11, 2026, leaving behind a family and many loved ones who will forever cherish his memory. Born in Bluffton on February 28, 1962, he graduated from Jay County High School in 1980 and attended Ball State University.

Stan was a devoted NASCAR fan with a genuine love for racing. The excitement of race day and his passion for the sport were simply part of who he was and something those who knew him will fondly remember. Having recently retired, Stan was enjoying a new chapter of life and the simple pleasure of being home. He especially loved spending time with his beloved furkids: Zipper, Rickie, and Sophie, who brought him tremendous companionship and joy. Over the years he worked in management for Danner’s and Speedway, and retired in 2025 from Breakers in Noblesville.

He shared his life with his best friend and lifelong partner, Phil Hiatt, whose love and companionship were an important and treasured part of Stan’s life. Survivors also include his mother: Ruth (Briggs) Geesaman (husband: Dewaine), Albany; sisters: Rhonda Skeens (husband: Roger), Dunkirk, and Debbie Helfst (husband: Bob), Dunkirk; step-sisters: Cheryl Williams, Tennessee, and Linda Green, Muncie; sister-in-law: JoAnn Mock, Dunkirk, and several nieces and nephews who will cherish his memory.

He is preceded in death by his father: Jerry Mock (and his wife, Agatha); brother: Richard (Ric) Mock, and step-brothers: Dennis Lewis and Mike Lewis.

Stan will be remembered for his genuine kindness, his wonderful sense of humor, and the love he showed to his family and friends. He was a devoted partner, a loyal and caring friend, and someone who cherished the people and simple joys that made life meaningful. His warmth, kindness, and personality touched the lives of those fortunate enough to know him.

While Stan’s passing came far too soon, the love, laughter, and memories he shared will remain. His life will continue to be celebrated through the stories told, the memories treasured, and the love carried forward by his family and friends.

A celebration of Stan’s life will take place at 1 p.m. on Friday July 24, 2026 at Albany Christian Church. Visiting hours are Friday from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the church.
