ALBANY – Roger L. Besser, age 64, Albany, died Monday morning at home following an extended illness.  Born in Delaware County on May 26, 1951, he grew up in Eaton, attended Delta High School, and was a graduate of Ivy Tech.  Roger was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War and belonged to the American Legion.  He worked for several years as an electrician and maintenance man in various area locations.

Survivors include his wife of seventeen years, Brenda C. Besser; his mother: Betty Parker, Albany; a step-son: Samuel Eltzroth (wife: Marie), Ft. Wayne; a brother: Larry Besser (wife: Pam), Eaton; a sister: Sherry Dick (friend: Dan Delk), Muncie; two grandchildren: Anna Rose Eltzroth and Zach Douthit, and several nieces & nephews.

He is preceded in death by his father, Wendell Besser, and a daughter: Leah Besser.

A celebration of Roger's life will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 13, 2016, at Eaton First Church of God.

Burial arrangements will be announced at a later date.
