DUNKIRK – Roberta Stephen, age 77, Dunkirk, died Tuesday December 5, 2017 at Lutheran Hospital following an illness.  Born in Jay County on April 29, 1940, she attended school in Portland and Pennville.  She retired from Saint Gobain Containers (now Ardagh), Dunkirk, after working there thirty-eight years.  Roberta enjoyed traveling, watching & feeding hummingbirds, and tending to her flowers.

Survivors include her husband of fifty-nine years, Floyd H. Stephen; 4 sons: Floyd E. Stephen, Dunkirk, Donny Stephen (wife: Rita), Redkey, Bert A. Stephen, Dunkirk, and Tommy Stephen, Dunkirk; 2 daughters: Jacquetta S. Wright (husband: Monte), Pendleton, and Julie Harper, Ridgeville; 3 sisters: Althea Miller, Ft. Myers, FL, Carol Louck (husband: Larry), Redkey, and Janet Botts, Dunkirk; 19 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and several nieces & nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents: Ed & Grace McFarland, and a brother: Marvin McFarland.

Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, December 9, 2017 at Meacham Funeral Service with burial following at Salamonie Cemetery.

Visiting hours will be held on Saturday from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
