Ray Greer, Jr., age 77, Albany, died on Sunday, February 6, 2022 at Albany Health & Rehabilitation Center following an extended illness.  Born in Muncie on August 27, 1944, he grew up in Yorktown and graduated from DeSoto High School in 1962.  Ray was a journeyman welder and worked for General Motors for over 35 years before retiring when the Muncie plant closed.  In his younger years, he showed brown Swiss cattle in 4-H and was a lifelong farmer.  He enjoyed going to the Muncie Dragstrip, collecting guns and knives, and spending time with his cats.

Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Pam Greer; 2 daughters: Tonya Repass (husband: Karl), Clayton, NC, and Deborah Owens (husband: Joe), Allyn, WA; a brother: Eugene Greer (wife: Susan), TN; 5 grandchildren: Sarah Sleeper (husband: Eddie), Lucas Repass, Dustin Greer, Lexi Greer, and Lauren Greer; 2 great-grandchildren: Isaac Ferguson and Aaden Sleeper; his feline fur-baby: Dolly.

He is preceded in death by his son: Aaron Greer; parents: Ray (Sr.) & Corine Greer, and a sister: Carolyn Sue McLaughlin.

Visiting hours will be held from 5 until 8 p.m. on Friday, February 11, 2022 at Meacham Funeral Service.  Cremation will follow.
