Philip Duane Grove, Sr., 88, passed away peacefully on September 20, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family. Born on June 3, 1937, Phil shared 33 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Janet. Phil was a proud graduate of DeSoto High School, Class of 1955.

Phil was the devoted father of Philip Jr. "Butch" (wife Ginger), Jeff (wife Lisa), and Jodi Buckley. He was preceded in death by his daughter Lucinda C. Nelson, his parents, and his three sisters—Charlotte, Janice, and Marsha. His legacy continues through his cherished grandchildren—Mindi, Jennifer, Kristina, Devin, Lauren, Emma, Brianna, and Autumn—as well as seven great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

A lifelong dairy farmer, Phil dedicated his life to hard work and the care of his land. In later years, he enjoyed vacationing with his family and relaxing with a good book. Phil spent the last three years at The Waters nursing home, where he was cared for with kindness and compassion.

Phil will be remembered for his steadfast devotion to family, his tireless work ethic, and the quiet wisdom he shared with all who knew him.

A celebration of Phil's life will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday September 23, 2025 at Meacham Funeral Service.  Burial will follow at Strong Cemetery.

Visiting hours are Tuesday from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to a charity in research of dementia and/or Alzheimer's related illnesses.
