ANDERSON – Paul Gene McCord, age 74, Anderson, died Friday night at his sister's home in Muncie following an illness. Born in Muncie on December 13, 1936, he grew up in the Selma area and had lived in Muncie and Dunkirk before moving to Anderson where he lived for several years. He retired in 1999 after working 44 years at Delco Remy in Anderson.

Survivors include a son: Paul G. McCord, Jr., Yorktown; 2 daughters: Kimbra Caster, Portland and Kathy McCord, Dunkirk; a brother: John McCord, Swayzee; 3 sisters: Phyllis Parker, Sarah Ford and Becky Pierce (husband: Jerry), all of Muncie; 4 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild and several nieces & nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Earl & Irene (Rees) McCord, his son: Dana McCord (2010) and 2 brothers: David McCord and Jack McCord.

Services will be at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at Meacham Funeral Service, Albany. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery.

Visiting hours will be held on Monday from 5-8 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
