Paul Gaines, age 87, Parker City, died Tuesday January 9, 2024 at home.  Born in Muncie on May 7, 1936, he grew up near Parker City and lived near Windsor for many years.  He graduated from Stoney Creek High School in 1954, was a member of East Jackson Street Church of God, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending winters in Florida with Ruth.  Paul retired from General Motors after 30 years and was a Randolph County farmer for several years.

Survivors include a son: Jeff Gaines, Parker City; daughter: Brenda Gaines, Parker City; grandson: Pierce Gaines, Muncie, and a sister: Rosalee Duckworth (husband: Danny), Muncie.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 59 years: Ruth Ann Gaines; son: Richard Wayne Gaines; parents: Harry & Beaulah (Morrison) Gaines; brother: Earl Gaines, and sisters: Della Arthur, Christine Brooks, Frances Osborne, Virginia Arthur, and Louise Luttrell.

Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, January 13, 2024 at Meacham Funeral Service.  Burial will take place at Gardens of Memory Cemetery.

Visitation is Saturday from 12 until 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
