Obituary

MUNCIE – Osia Marie "Sissy" (Jones) Cox, age 41, Muncie, died Wednesday morning at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital following an extended illness.  Born in Hartford City on Sept. 6, 1970, she grew up in Dunkirk and had lived in Berne for several years before recently moving to Muncie.  She graduated from Jay Co. High School in 1988 and Med Tech College in 2010.  Marie was employed at Sallie Mae in Muncie and had also worked at both glass factories in Dunkirk.  She enjoyed camping and spending time with her family.

Survivors include her husband of nearly 18 years, John Cox, Jr., and their children: Kyle Cox and Kysha Cox; her father: Albert Jones, Sr. (wife: Mary), Dunkirk; her mother: Wanda Little (with Ty Boolman), Geneva; 4 step-sons: Tyler Cox, Albany, John Cox III, Winchester, Greg Cox, Winchester, and Nathaniel Cox, Winchester; a brother: Albert Jones, Jr. (wife: Teresa), Geneva; 3 sisters: Darlene DeVoe (husband, Sid, deceased), Muncie, Kristina Sargent (husband: John), Dunkirk, and Melissa Moorehouse (husband: Scott), Berne; also, several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

Services will be at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 12, 2012, at Meacham Funeral Service, Albany, with burial following at Strong Cemetery.

Visiting hours will be held on Saturday from 2-6 p.m. at the funeral home.
