Nancy C. Hamilton, age 79, Dunkirk, died unexpectedly on Tuesday March 24, 2026 at home. Born in South Milford, Indiana on May 15, 1946, she grew up in Dunkirk and was a graduate of Dunkirk High School. Nancy worked as a sorter at Kerr Glass (now Ardagh) before retiring. In earlier years she attended Calvary United Methodist Church and traveled to India on a missions trip during the 1980s. She enjoyed drawing, was an avid Pacers fan, and was fond of animals – including her dogs Holly & Angel.

Survivors include her son: Chris Hamilton (wife: Hillary), Albany; sister: Shirley Long (husband: Richard), Dunkirk, and grandchildren: Gunnar, Hailee, Wesley, and Tyce.

She is preceded in death by her parents: Jessie & Viola (Dickerson) Hamilton, brother: Morris Hamilton, and sisters: Anna Shaneyfelt and Marsha Ewers.

There will be no public services.
