Obituary
ALBANY – Nancy R. (Adams) Hamilton, age 70, Albany, died Tuesday afternoon at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital following an illness. Born in Muncie on Feb. 9, 1942, she moved to Albany at a young age and attended Albany High School. Nancy retired from Saint Gobain Container Corp. (now Verallia), Dunkirk, after working there 35 years; she also worked at Indiana Glass Co. for a short time. She was an active member of Dunkirk Church of The Nazarene where she and her husband were greeters for many years. She belonged to Local #96 and was involved in the former Angel Food Ministries.
Survivors include her husband of 52 years, William E. "Bill" Hamilton; 3 sons: Steven L. Hamilton (wife: Joyce), Albany, Michael W. Hamilton (wife: Donna), Portland, and Kevin M. Hamilton (wife: Gloria), Dunkirk; a daughter: Michele Dotson (husband: Gregg), Union City, IN; a sister: Carolyn S. (Adams) Brummett, Altoona, FL; her grandchildren: Amanda Parrish (husband: Justin), Nick Hamilton, Josh Hamilton (wife: Tammy), Miranda Hartnagel (fiancé: Loren), Sarah Hartnagel, Taylor Hamilton, Rachael Hamilton (fiancé: Waylon), Kristen McConnell (husband: Mat), David Fisher, Alisha Flowers, Chad Flowers, Miranda Knight (husband: Tim), Robert Dotson (fiancé: Stephanie), Kris Dotson (fiancé: Michelle), Billy St. John, Becky Zimmerman (husband: Josh), Katy Hamilton, and Abbie Hamilton; several great-grandchildren, step great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her son, Terry A. Hamilton; her parents, Leonard J. and Martha E. (Smelser) Adams; 2 brothers: James L. Adams, Sr. and David L. Adams, and an infant sister: Janice E. Adams.
Services will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 6, 2012 at Dunkirk Church of The Nazarene with Pastor Tom Fett officiating. Burial will follow at the Dunkirk I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
Visiting hours will held on Thursday from 4-8 p.m. at Dunkirk Church of The Nazarene and on Friday from 10-11 a.m. at the church.
