ALBANY – Mildred Perry, age 86, Albany, died Monday Dec. 30, 2013 at Golden Living Center, Muncie. Born in Scottsville, KY on March 11, 1927, she lived most of her life as a resident of Albany. She was a homemaker and for 10 years worked in the glass factories of Dunkirk (Armstrong, Kerr, and Indiana Glass). She was a member of the former Albany Nazarene Church and enjoyed gardening.
Survivors include a son: Kevin Perry (wife: Jane), Muncie; 4 daughters: Sandra Robbins (husband: Dennis), Albany, Patricia King, Albany, Marlena Myers (husband: Steve), Albany, and Beverly Cleveland (husband: Hal), Beaufort, SC; 15 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, and several nieces & nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Lattie M. Perry, who died in 2008. Also deceased is her son: Michael Perry, her parents, and 12 siblings.
Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Thursday Jan. 2, 2014 at Meacham Funeral Service, Albany, with burial following at Strong Cemetery.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday from 12-2 p.m. at the funeral home.
