Michael “Mick Love, age 84, Albany, died Thursday March 5, 2026 at Albany Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center following a short illness. Born in Muncie on March 7, 1941, Mick grew up in Redkey and was a 1959 graduate of Gov. I.P. Gray High School. He lived in Eaton before moving to Albany and was a millwright electrician at Saint Gobain (now Ardagh), Dunkirk, for 32 years before retiring. An avid golfer, he played golf at Lakeview and Albany Golf Club where he was club champion at both locations. Mick belonged to the glass workers union and enjoyed watching college sports and womens golf.

Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Mary Jane Love; step-sons: Michael Davis (wife: Pam), Muncie, and Baird Davis (wife: Kaylynn), Eaton; step-daughter: Leanne Davis, Hartford City; brother: Russell Love (wife: Augusta), Gautier, MS; sister: Helen Millspaugh (husband: Tom), Muncie; 6 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by a son: Steven Love, grandson: Ryan Poling, and parents: Raymond & Dorothy (Wiles) Love.

Visiting hours are Wednesday March 11, 2026 from 12 until 2 p.m. at Meacham Funeral Service. In accordance with Mick’s wishes, casual dress is preferred.

Private graveside services will take place at Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
