ALBANY – Marilyn (Greene) Stafford, age 80, Albany, died Sunday morning at Albany Health Care & Rehabilitation Center following an illness.  Born in Muncie on May 8, 1936, she grew up in Albany and was a 1954 graduate of Albany High School.  She was a homemaker who enjoyed bowling in earlier years and was a longtime member of a local card club (over 50 years).

Survivors include her daughters: Jody Skwier (husband: Dan), Albany, and Joy Estes (husband: John), Muncie; four grandchildren: Amy (Stafford) Burford, Megan Estes, Ben Estes, and Shelby Estes; also, four great-grandchildren: Paige Stafford-Vest, Hayley Burford, Noah Burford, and Gavin Burford.

She is preceded in death by her husband of nearly 54 years, Max L. Stafford; her father: John T. Greene; her mother: Della May Pratt, and a sister: Karen Gerard.

Graveside services will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, May 18, 2016, at Strong Cemetery, Albany, with burial following.

Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday from 4 until 8 p.m. at Meacham Funeral Service.
