ALBANY – Marguerite (Wilson) Russell, age 92, Albany, died Saturday night at Ball Memorial Hospital following a brief illness. Born in Hartford City on November 25, 1918, her parents were Joseph and Gertrude (Ballinger) Elliott. She attended Hartford City High School and was a resident of Albany for most of her life. Marguerite worked at McCormick Bros. in Albany during WWII making artillery casings and eventually retired in the mid 1980's from Ball State University where she worked in dining services for 20 years. Her life was centered around her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking for her family. She was a member of the local Home Ec. Club, Borg Warner Sympathy Club, B.S.U. Sympathy Club, and a former member of the Rebekah Lodge and American Legion Auxiliary, Albany.

Survivors include her children: Sandra K. Wible (husband: Larry), Dunkirk, Thomas D. Wilson (wife: Marilyn), Colorado Springs, CO, and Dennis L. Wilson (wife: Soni), Redkey; 2 very special step-daughters: Jan Todd (husband: Robert), Muncie, and Becky Harmon (husband: Lowell), Muncie; her brother: Harold Elliott, Indianapolis; 7 grandchildren: Kimberley Wible (fiancé: Jeff Delph), Julia Kirby, Eric Wilson, Emily White-Krug (husband: Dane), Shelly Reynolds (fiancé: Jeff Calvert), Alyssa Casey (husband: Jared), and Derek Wilson (wife: Angela); a special adopted granddaughter: Shelia Simons; 12 great-grandchildren, and a host of step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her first husband, Donald L. Wilson, who died in 1964; her second husband, Kenneth P. Russell, who died in 1988, and her parents.

Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Tuesday December 21, 2010, at Meacham Funeral Service, Albany, with burial following at Black Cemetery.

Visiting hours will be held from 1-2 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
