Madonna Rose Harshman (Gregg), 94, passed away peacefully Friday, May 3, 2024 at Morrison Woods in Muncie, surrounded by family. Madonna was born in Albany, Indiana on December 23, 1929 to Mary Locke-Johnson and Otto Gregg Sr.
Madonna was a Graduate of Albany High School in 1948. She went on to marry Robert "Bob" Harshman in 1950 and had three children. Madonna was a homemaker and was the world's best at making homemade beef and noodles. She enjoyed jig saw puzzles, cross words and reading. She loved her family and especially her grand and great grandchildren. Madonna felt that Indiana was God's country and was proud of her roots.
Madonna is survived by her 3 daughters; Cindy (Dave) Doherty, Kay (Dick) Bishop, Lana (Kurt) Kaufman, a brother, Sheldon (Barbara) Gregg, 2 sisters; Pat Gregg, Rhonda (Hal) Haney, 6 grandchildren; Jason (Lindsay), Carrie (Tony), Jennifer, Lori (Kyle), Grace and Abbie, 5 greatgrandchildren; Ethan, Liam, Jack, Ellia, Riley and Jacob.
Madonna is preceded in death by her husband of 48 years Bob Harshman, 3 brothers; Otto Greg Jr., John Gregg, James Gregg, 3 sisters; Betty Dillmon, Helen Hamilton and Martha Madison, a brother-in-law, Wayne Madison.
A funeral service to celebrate Madonna's life will be held on Monday, May 6, 2023 at Meacham Funeral Home in Albany at 11:30 a.m. Friends and family may come to share and remember on Monday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will follow at Black Cemetery.
Madonna's family would like to give a very special Thank you to the staff at Morrison Woods and Heart to Heart Hospice for the excellent care that Madonna received.
