ALBANY – M. June Wehmeier, age 82, Albany, died Sunday morning at Albany Health Care. Born in Paxton, IN on April 28, 1928, she grew up in Sullivan County and was a graduate of Pleasantville High School, Pleasantville, IN. She lived near Albany for most of her life and was a member of the local Home Ec. Club. June enjoyed gardening, crocheting, and spending time with her family. She retired from Ball State University where she worked in dining services.
Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Roy M. Wehmeier, and their children: Madeline Fuller (husband: Larry), Wellsville, KS, Marian Janney (husband: Randy), Muncie, Bill Wehmeier (wife: Celest), Albany, and Chris Holt (husband: Dennis), Schwenksville, PA; 11 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandson, and extended family.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Emory McCammon and Ruby (Bedwell-McCammon) Taylor.
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday from 5-8 p.m. at Meacham Funeral Service, Albany.
A private ceremony will be held for family members on Wednesday with burial following at Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
