Lisa Devine, age 61, died unexpectedly on Tuesday October 31, 2023 at home.  Born in Muncie on April 26, 1962, she was a lifelong resident of Selma.  She graduated from Wapahani High School in 1980 and received her LPN credentials from Bingham Hall.  Lisa worked for 20 years, mainly in the Emergency Room, specializing in trauma and the SANE program.  She also spent time at the Delaware County Jail where many will remember her for her compassion as "nurse Lisa."  She was most recently employed at Muncie Estates where she loved mentoring her "baby nurses" and QMAs.  Lisa loved her family, gardening, collecting antiques and spoiling her grand dogs.

Survivors include daughters: Kristin Devine and Kara Devine (Jeremy Anderson), Selma; brothers: Mike Vorhees and Randy Vorhees, Selma; sister: Karen Penny (husband: Dave), Carmel; best friend and partner: John Jenkins, Muncie; her children's father: Brent Devine (wife: Jennifer), Selma; niece: Nikki Sewell, and nephews: Tim Sewell, Andrew Vorhees, and Austin Vorhees.

Her parents, Jim & Janet (Evans) Vorhees, are deceased.

Services will be 4 p.m. Sunday, November 5, 2023 at Meacham Funeral Service.  Cremation will follow.

Visiting hours are Sunday from 2 until 4 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Animal Rescue Fund (A.R.F.) or the Humane Society.
