ALBANY – Larry M. Masters, age 76, Albany, died Wednesday morning at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital following an illness. Born in Muncie on Dec. 5, 1938, he was the son of Maurice & Goldie Masters. He graduated from Gov. I.P. Gray High School in 1957 and was a U.S. Navy veteran. Larry worked as a tool & die maker at Brodericks Corp. in Muncie for several years and Chrysler Corp. from which he retired in 2005. He was a member of American Legion Post 167, Albany, and the National Rifle Association. An avid fisherman and hunter, he was an outdoorsman who liked to farm, can, and garden in the summertime.
Survivors include his son, Bryan Masters, Albany; a brother: William Masters (wife: Linda), Titusville, FL; a sister: Shirley Stauffer (husband: Ron), Portland; nieces, and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Julia R. Masters, who died in 2008. His parents are also deceased.
In accordance with his wishes, there will be no funeral services.
