Obituary

ALBANY – Julia Wright, age 79, Albany, died Sunday afternoon at home following a short illness.  Born in Pennville on Feb. 7, 1936, she grew up there and was a graduate of Pennville High School.  She lived in Dunkirk and Eaton before moving to the Albany area.  Julia attended Bethel United Methodist Church, Albany, when she was able and enjoyed knitting, crocheting, traveling, cooking, and especially her grandkids.

Survivors include 2 sons: Bruce Wright (companion: Billie), Albany, and Blaine Wright (wife: Jackie), Eaton; 2 daughters: Roxanna "Susie" Chalfant (husband: Dan), Albany, and Sonia McCormick (husband: Chuck), Dunkirk; a brother: Merle Caldwell (wife: Charlotte), Parker City; a sister: Rosemary Davis, Portland; 7 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and several nieces & nephews.

She is preceded in death by husbands Robert E. Wright and Wayne M. Wright; her mother: Muriel D. Straley; a daughter-in-law: Marian Wright, and a grandson: Jeremy Carver.

A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, Oct. 15, 2015, at Redkey Church of The Nazarene, 801 High St., Redkey, IN 47373 from 6 until 9 p.m.  Burial will take place at the convenience of the family.  Cremation was chosen.
