BROWNSBURG – Pastor Johnny Calhoun, age 45, Brownsburg, passed on to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday November 10, 2016, at home.  Born in Portland on April 30, 1971, he grew up in Albany and was a 1990 graduate of Delta High School.  He attended Fort Wayne Bible College, Indiana Christian University, and received a diploma in Pastoral Studies from World Harvest Bible College.  Johnny was the founder and Senior Pastor of Water From The Rock Ministries in Muncie.  He then went on to found and Pastor Crossfire Church in Indianapolis.  His greatest passion was preaching the Gospel!  He was an avid student of God's Word and spent most of his spare time in theological studies and writings.  He authored several books and loved people, calling anyone he met a friend.  Johnny also enjoyed spending time at home with his wife, Amy and their rambunctious dog, Belle.

Survivors include his wife of nearly ten years, Amy Jo (Arnett) Calhoun; his mother: Alice Jean Lyons, Brownsburg; his father-in-law: Marshall Arnett (wife: Ida), South Branch, MI; his mother-in-law: Elaine Ball (husband: William), Indianapolis; two brothers: Ron Coyle (wife: Dawn), Matthews, and Kevin Calhoun (wife: Julie), Royerton; two sisters: Lora Garman (husband: Hunter), Albany, and Karen Tuttle (husband: Lee), Muncie; six nephews, and four nieces.

His father, Kenneth L. Calhoun, is deceased.

Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 16, 2016, at Meacham Funeral Service, Albany, with burial following at Strong Cemetery.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 10 until 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
