Jill L. (Mock) Childers, age 65, Dunkirk, died Sunday July 24, 2016, at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital following an illness.  Born in Muncie on June 17, 1951, she lived in Dunkirk most of her life.  She attended Dunkirk High School and was a graduate of Ivy Tech.  Jill worked in various area nursing homes as a Licensed Practical Nurse for twenty-two years and also worked for ten years at Indiana Glass Company.  She enjoyed watching NASCAR and playing BINGO.

Survivors include her husband of thirty-four years, Larry Childers; two sons: Jeff Hitchens (wife: Karen), Dunkirk, and Jonathan Staton, Dunkirk; a step-son: Larry Joe Williamson (wife: Hope), Capmanville, WV; a step-daughter: Mitzi Wolfe (husband: David), Chapmanville, WV; a brother: Mike Mock, Dunkirk; a sister: Tammy Mock (fiancé: Doug Taylor), Muncie; six grandchildren: Nick Folkerth, Kyle Hitchens, Allen Hitchens, Kya Staton, Gabriel Staton, and Gavin Staton; four step-grandchildren: Rylee Williamson, Ethan Williamson, Kaylee Wolfe, and Chris Stowers; also, three great-grandchildren: Kynleigh Folkerth, MaeLynn Folkerth, and Parker Hitchens.

Her parents, Danny & Betty Mock, and a son: Robbie Hitchens, are deceased.

Cremation was chosen with burial at a later date.
