Obituary

ALBANY – Jerald "Jerry" Reynard, 72, Albany, died Wednesday evening at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital following an unexpected medical condition.  Born in Muncie on Sept. 23, 1944, he was the son of Joseph William Reynard and Norma Jean (Life) Selvey.  He was a lifetime resident of the DeSoto area and a 1962 graduate of DeSoto High School.  Jerry was a former Delaware Township Trustee and farmed for several years in Delaware County.  He retired from Chevrolet, Muncie, after working there thirty-one years.  He was a Past Master of Anthony Lodge No. 171, F. & A.M., Albany, and belonged to Albany Lions Club and Dunkirk Elks Lodge 1776.  Jerry enjoyed riding his Harley, watching NASCAR, and meeting with friends every morning at the VP.

Survivors include his wife, Cheryl L. Reynard; a son: Joe Reynard, Bradenton, FL; a daughter: Amy Minars (husband: Mike), Muncie, and three beautiful granddaughters who adored their Paps: Dr. Wendy Brooke Heaton, Natalie Paige Heaton, and Piper Judith Marlene Heaton.

He is preceded in death by his former spouse of thirty-seven years, Judith M. Reynard, his parents, a brother: Jack Reynard, and a sister: Joyce Marks.

A celebration of life will be held 3:30 p.m. Saturday, June 17, 2017 at Black Cemetery.  Burial will follow.

Friends and family may visit on Saturday from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Meacham Funeral Service.
