ALBANY – Jerry Pence, age 54, Albany, died unexpectedly at home on Monday June 6, 2016, from natural causes. Born in Muncie on January 12, 1962, he was a lifelong Albany resident and a 1982 graduate of Delta High School. He worked for the Town of Albany for twenty-five years then at B&L Thornburg's Trucking. Jerry enjoyed model cars and riding with a local motorcycle club for charity runs.
Survivors include his son, Jeremy Pence, Albany; his parents: Eugene & Francis Pence, Albany; his older brother: Ron Pence (wife: Nena), Muncie, and his twin brother: Gerry Pence, Albany; two sisters: Cheryl Reed, Albany, and Pam Copley (husband: Gary), Albany; also, two sisters-in-law and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
His wife of 21 years, Sherrie (Cox) Pence, died in 2012.
Graveside services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, June 10, 2016, at Gardens of Memory Cemetery; burial will follow.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday from 4 until 8 p.m. at Meacham Funeral Service.
Donations may sent to the family to assist with expenses.
