Jan Ellen (Poti) Bronson, age 71, Selma, died Friday October 4, 2024 at home following an extended illness.  Born in Muncie on March 16, 1953, she grew up in Delaware County and was a 1971 graduate of Delta High School.  Jan lived in New York for several years before returning to Selma.  She worked at Walmart – both in New York and at the Muncie South location prior to a decline in health.  She was a member of Selma Lions Club and enjoyed reading, traveling, FIREWORKS, doing crafts, and trying Facebook food recipes.

Survivors include a son: Ryne Brown, Morgantown; daughters: Nikki Absher, Oakland City, and Desiree Brown, Morgantown; brother: Terry Poti (wife: Taryn), Muncie; sister: Tamara Allison, Selma; 9 grandchildren, and several nieces & nephews including Jacob Allison, Anthony Allison, Michael Rainey, Melissa Poti, Deborah Abshire, Tracy Poti Navas, and Craig Poti.

She is preceded in death by her parents: Walter A. & Patricia J. (Hopping) Poti; brother: Eric Poti, and sister: Felicia Jo Rainey.

In accordance with her wishes, cremation will take place.
