MUNCIE – Beloved brother and uncle James Thomas Booher, age 66, passed away at his home in Muncie Monday, Nov. 17, 2014. Born in Muncie he grew up in Albany, was a member of the Albany Christian Church, and a 1966 graduate of Albany High School. He attended Vincennes University and Indiana University - Indianapolis and received an Associate Degree in Accounting from Harrison College, with honors. He then joined the U.S. Air Force in 1969, and after an honorable discharge he worked briefly at National Cash Register in Indianapolis. He then moved to Muncie where he lived for twenty-five years. For fifteen years he was employed and part-owner of T.E. Booher & Sons in Albany. In 2001 he became a residential real estate agent, working for Caldwell Banker Lunsford until retiring in 2013.
Survivors include his sisters: Jane Haugh (husband: Larry), Shelburne, VT, and Joyce Marker (husband: Tim), Clarkston, MI; nieces & nephews: Wendi Haugh, Joshua Haugh, Jeremy Haugh, Amy Rychlick, Cara Daily, and their families.
He is preceded in death by his parents: James V. & Eileen Booher and an infant sister: Barbara Jo Booher.
A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 22, 2014, at Meacham Funeral Service, Albany, with burial following at Strong Cemetery.
Visiting hours will be held on Saturday from 12 until 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
