REDKEY – James M. Beal (Jim Bob), age 49, died Monday July 10, 2017 at home in Randolph County. Born in Muncie on Nov. 11, 1967, he grew up in Albany and graduated from Delta High School in 1986. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and enjoyed shooting & fishing at Frank Merry Park. Jim worked at Tyson Foods in Portland for the past nine years.
Survivors include his children: Brittney Shewmake and Zachary Beal, both of Portland; his mother: Rita Beal (fiancé: Ronald Middleton), Redkey; his grandson: Camden Shewmake, Portland; a brother: David W. Beal (wife: Cris), Bellevue, NB; two sisters: Renee J. Weaver, Redkey, and Violet D. Current (husband: Rick), Redkey; nieces, nephews, and great-nieces & nephews.
He is preceded in death by his father, Marion E. "Pete" Beal, who died in 2002.
Services will be 2 p.m. Friday, June 14, 2017, at Meacham Funeral Service. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery with military rites provided by Veterans of Delaware County Honor Guard.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
