ALBANY – Helen B. Arnold, age 91, Albany, died Monday evening at Albany Health Care.  She was born in Jackson, MI on Jan. 19, 1921, and at a young age moved to the Muncie area where she grew up.  She lived the past several years in Albany and at one time attended White Chapel Congregational Christian Church.  In early years Helen enjoyed working in the garden and playing the organ; later, she took great enjoyment in fishing, particularly fly fishing – an activity she was involved with into her mid 80's.

Survivors include her husband of 25 years, Dorwin Arnold; her son: David Hampton (wife: Vicki), Lakewood, CO; 2 step sons: Terry Arnold (wife: Cindy), Albany, and Rick Arnold, Geneva; 2 grandchildren: Cam & Kimberly; 6 step grandchildren: Tracy, Misty, John, Terry Jr., Troy, and Kristi; 2 great-grandchildren, and 10 step great-grandchildren.

Her parents are deceased.

Services will be at 1 p.m. on Saturday, February 18, 2012, at Meacham Funeral Service, Albany, with burial following at Strong Cemetery.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday from 6-8 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
