DUNKIRK – Harvey Michael Shrack was born on November 19, 1931 to William H. and Ruth Michael Shrack near Redkey, Indiana.  He was a graduate of Dunkirk High School.  He was a lifelong farmer in the Jay County area and worked at Teledyne Portland Forge, retiring in 1997 after 46 years of employment.  He is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

He is survived by his wife, Rebecca Vining Shrack.  His children: Denise Sawyer (Duane), Sheila Hubbell (Bill), Michael Shrack (Jeani), Rachel Nichols (Dean), Ramona Bertrand (Joe), Sarah Driskell, Charlotte Vining, William Vining, Robert Vining (Lori), and Mark Vining (Ruth).  His brothers: Jim Shrack (Gaye), Bernard Shrack (Ina), and Bill Shrack (Boo).  He has 33 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Norma Mettler Shrack, a daughter, Martha, a daughter-in-law, Cindy Reed Shrack, and his sister Marilyn Curts.

Viewing will be held Thursday October 8 from 4-8 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located at 4800 Robinwood Dr., Muncie, IN.

Funeral services will be Friday, October 9 at 11:00 a.m. with calling from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the same location.  Burial will take place later at Dunkirk I.O.O.F. Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to Alzheimer's Association.
